Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
I welcome you to Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. We explore the Genocide Memorial and lively craft markets, then relax at your lodge. This evening, I brief you on the safari ahead, ensuring you’re prepared for gorilla trekking and rainforest adventures.

Approx drive time: Airport to Kigali City: 30 minutes
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes NP
We drive north to Volcanoes National Park, passing terraced hills and volcanic peaks. After briefing, we trek into lush rainforest to encounter mountain gorillas. Spending an hour with them is unforgettable. Evening relaxation near the park.

Approx drive time: Kigali to Musanze: 2.5–3 hours
Day 3: Scenic Transfer via Lake Kivu
We journey west along Lake Kivu’s shores, stopping for photos and local encounters. The drive offers breathtaking views of Rwanda’s “Thousand Hills.” We continue south toward Nyungwe Forest, arriving by evening.

Day 4: Chimpanzees & Canopy Walk
At dawn, we track chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest, listening to their calls echoing through ancient trees. Later, we walk across the canopy bridge, suspended above the rainforest for panoramic views. Evening relaxation at lodge.

Day 5: Birdwatching & Return to Kigali
